Software Developer

Requirements

• Appropriate tertiary qualification (eg. BSc).
• Be organized and committed to following industry software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Have a positive, can-do attitude.
• Minimum of one year commercial experience in Unix Shell scripting and/or C/C++, ideally gained within a structured team environment.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Windows, UNIX and Linux experience.
• Knowledge of Oracle, MS SQLserver, Exchange or Lotus Domino will be seen as an advantage.

 
Scope of Duties

• Performing software design and documentation.
• Implementing approved software designs in C/C++, Unix Shell scripting or other languages as required.
• Participating in code inspections.
• Performing informal and formal testing.
• Performing third level on-site troubleshooting.
• Participating in software process improvement activities.
• Preparing formal test plans and procedures.
• Preparing project test reports.
• Participating in technical review meetings as required.
